The New Year brings opportunities and challenges for GWM. Team Leader Patrick Chimbali’s visit to the UK last year was a great success.

Patrick was in the UK from August to October. It was a great time of fellowship for him with the UK trustees, and he was made to feel very welcome at Newcastle Reformed Evangelical Church. He visited and preached at several churches, and had a short tour of Ireland with UK Chairman Andrew Marsay, where he observed the challenges of planting churches across the historic cultural and religious divides.

We owe a debt of thanks to Westminster Seminary UK, who blessed Patrick with free training for a term. Patrick’s studies during this time were invaluable for the future development of the work in Malawi.

GWM’s work has been naturally progressing towards offering more formal training, and next on the horizon for GWM is the establishment of Mount Mulanje Bible Institute in 2025.

God’s hand has been unmistakable in our work up to this point - we give him thanks and glory for what he has done through GWM so far. But we also trust that this is just the beginning, so we must ask for help anew. Please prayerfully consider supporting us financially - every donation is an answer to prayer.

Whilst in the UK, Patrick sat down to share his vision for the work on camera. If you haven’t already seen it, do take a few minutes to hear more from Patrick himself, and be encouraged.
